Stock Up on Fresh Food at the Rockwall Farmers’ Market

Summer may be coming to a close in a few short weeks, but the Rockwall Farmers' Market is keeping farm-to-table produce coming until the end of September. Every Saturday morning from 8 a.m. to noon, the Historic Downtown Square of Rockwall transforms into a fresh-air market where city-dwellers have direct access to fruits, veggies, meats, and other items cultivated by local purveyors.

More than 30 vendors come to the market each week, so there's always a large and varied selection. Grab grass-fed meats or farm-fresh eggs from one vendor; check out a colorful array of fruits and veggies from another. Pick up prepared foods like jam, pasta, and tamales. Or simply swing by to enjoy the live music that each Saturday morning promises. The market's last day of the season will be Saturday, September 30th.

Shop Fresh Produce at Rockwall Farmers’ Market

As a resident of Texas, you get to enjoy certain perks that people in other parts of the country do not, like warmer temps nearly year-round. Take full advantage of the extended growing season by stocking up on fresh produce at the Rockwall Farmers' Market, kicking off for the season on Saturday, May 6th.

At 7 a.m., the Historic Square in downtown Rockwall plays host to a variety of vendors from all around the region, more than 30 in total. They'll be touting locally raised fruits and vegetables as well as natural beef and poultry, fresh seafood, farm-raised eggs, honey, and even fresh baked goods. They stick around until noon, which should be plenty of time for you to explore the many different booths and fill your basket with whatever your fridge or pantry is lacking.
