Learn Life-Saving Basics at AHA Heartsaver CPR/First Aid on October 21st

When an emergency strikes, sometimes quick thinking is all it takes to save a life. In order to jump into action, however, you need to know what to do. The AHA Heartsaver CPR/First Aid class on Saturday, October 21st equips people with zero medical training to provide support that could save a life.

Designed by the American Heart Association (AHA), this class certifies participants 16 years and older in life-saving CPR and first aid techniques. Pupils will learn how to appropriately administer CPR to infants, children, and adults. CPR is an effective way to keep the lungs and heart working until emergency medical personnel can take over. Class attendees will also learn what to do if someone chokes, how to use an AED, and what to do for simple cuts and scrapes. The class costs $35 and includes a certification of participation after successful completion. It will be held at the Texas Health Rockwall Medical Office Building from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
