Expect Authentic Fare at Yia Yia’s House of Gyros

Tender lamb and beef swathed in a fresh, hot pita with onions, tomatoes, and tzatziki sauce. This is the Original Gyro served at Yia Yia's House of Gyros, and according to the team here (and the customers who love it), the gyro closely mimics the traditional fare dished out in the Plaka District in Athens.

But you don't have to stick to tradition at Yia Yia's if you don't want to. The veggie gyro strays from classic Greek cuisine, and it still delights eaters. In lieu of beef and lamb, it features cucumbers, tomatoes, onions, dolma, hummus, and tzatziki sauce with fries on the side. The pork gyro swaps the beef and lamb for a leaner meat, and you can opt for chicken instead when you order the souvlaki pita. Other Greek specialties abound, as well, like the pastitsio (Greek lasagna), the Greek salad with feta and olives, and the Greek burger, featuring a patty made of lamb and beef at Yia Yia's House of Gyros.
